We were assigned a group project where our local health unit proposed a project to inform students and potentially young adults from the area, regarding the dangers of Chlamydia and the importance of getting tested regularly. For this assignment we needed to preform both primary and secondary research. We had an online survey, a paper survey, held focus groups and research online. The project consisted of a Marketing and Communications plan, a Media plan, a Creative Execution plan, media development and presentation. We all had various roles in he group, I was designated Art Director and part of my contribution to the project included the posters below. The headlines resonated with our survey respondents as to what would grab their attention. The imagery was meant to be shocking and relate to the target audience on a personal level, also connecting the message to a routine action. The body copy offered factual information and desired result which would be to contact the Health Unit for testing.
A group project which I got to work with a fellow Advertising student to write the script and was produced and filmed by a team of Television students at Canadore College. Our final project name is Ontario Northland Bus Safety. Click the link to view http://tel409.weebly.com/2011-corporate-videos.html
It was up to ourselves to find a company to do our placement. In order to be accepted for placement it was pretty much the same as asking for a job. Along with my cover letter and resume I created this flyer to help me stand out from the other potential students also searching for placement.
